Table 2. Results of Mie calculations for the attenuation efficiency, Qc. Column x contains the relative particle size. Columns m' and m" contain respectively the real and imaginary parts of the refractive index of the particle material relative to that of the surrounding medium. Column HS shows results obtained with MJC Light Scattering Calculator for Homogeneous Sphere. Column PE shows results obtained by Penndorf (1957).
