Schleusener SA et al 1976 Spectrophone measurements of infrared laser energy absorption by atmospheric dust

Abstract A new method of quantitatively measuring the absorption of atmospheric dust or other described. The system uses s differential spectrophone KBr pellet technique and should ultimately prove useful from the UV to the far IR wavelength region. Preliminary measurement data on quartz, and soot are presented at 1.06-μm, 9.6-μm, and 10.6-μm wavelengths. [Reprinted by permission of the Optical Society of America]
