SVM - separation of variables method used in calculations of light scattering (for example, Barber and Hill 1990). This method is, in general, equivalent to the T-matrix method. The AYM is also a variation of the separation of variables method specifically developed for spheroidal particles (for example, Porstendorfer J et al 1999).
