Boundary-element method - a method of calculating electromagnetic scattering by nonspherical particles (for example, Mano 2000). The method consists of discretizing the electric and magnetic integral equations. The method is most efficient when the electric and magnetic integral equations are linearly combined into the field integral equation. [AJB, © Crown Copyright 2007]
