AVPS - aerodynamic-vacuum particle sizing (or sizer). A method or instrument which sizes a particle according to its aerodynamic (hydrodynamic) diameter and density by measuring terminal velocity in vacuum of the particle accelerated with an air jet into the sensing zone of the instrument.
